Terms of Service
These terms apply to this website and to service requests submitted to NY City Key. By requesting or approving work, you agree to these terms.
Mobile service only
NY City Key provides mobile automotive locksmith service at approved vehicle locations within our coverage area. Sending a form, call or text does not confirm an appointment, technician, arrival time or vehicle compatibility.
Estimates and approval
Website information, a preliminary range or a phone discussion is informational until we review the vehicle and service conditions. Before work begins, we explain the approved work and applicable price or pricing basis. Extra work requires additional approval. Prices can vary by vehicle system, key type, parts, location, access conditions and whether a working key exists.
Ownership and lawful use
You must be the vehicle owner or have clear authority from the owner. Valid identification and proof of ownership or authorization are required before entry, key creation, programming, deletion of stored keys or related work. We may refuse or stop service when identity, authority, safety or legality cannot be confirmed.
Vehicle compatibility and conditions
Not every vehicle, key, module or customer-supplied part can be serviced. Some vehicles require dealer or manufacturer access. You must accurately disclose the year, make, model, key status and known damage. Pre-existing electrical, battery, ignition, lock, module, wiring or aftermarket-equipment problems may prevent completion or require separate repair.
Location, access and safety
You are responsible for providing a lawful, reasonably safe work location and permission to access it. Unsafe traffic, weather, restricted property, towing, parking rules or lack of authorization may delay or prevent service. Do not use this site for a life-safety emergency; call 911 when a person or animal is in danger.
Cancellations and incomplete work
Tell us promptly if you need to cancel or change a visit. Any dispatch, diagnostic, travel, part or cancellation charge must be disclosed before it applies. If work cannot be completed, you remain responsible only for charges you approved for work, parts, travel or diagnostics already provided.
Limits and applicable law
To the extent allowed by law, NY City Key is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost use, towing, missed appointments or losses caused by inaccurate information, pre-existing defects, customer-supplied parts or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be waived. New York law governs these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the business or website changes. Written terms for approved work, including any applicable warranty terms, control if they conflict with general website language.
